Bertie Bunny was so nervous
And his mouth was very dry
He’d booked himself some lessons
So that he could learn to fly
He turned up at the hare field
As the lessons were held there
And was met by his instructor
The fearless Ryan Hare
He put on a khaki flying suit
And a funny leather hat
When he looked into the mirror
He thought “I like the look of that”
He climbed into the cockpit
And looked at all the dials
He frowned for just a second
Then his face was full of smiles
Ryan jumped in right beside him
And showed Bertie what to do
It wasn’t long before he said
“Now Bertie it’s up to you”
Bertie did what he’d been instructed
And they soon were off the ground
Looping the loop and laughing
As the pair flew round and round
Ryan looked quite pleased with Bertie
When they stopped a little later
And said he was quite a natural
When using the in-flight simulator
Bertie thanked Ryan Hare very much
And he paid him twenty pound
But he said he wouldn’t go back again
As he preferred four feet on the ground
