Bertie was so very happy
And he could hardly wait
To meet his only girlfriend
Beside the garden gate
They dined together in the garden
There were lettuces galore
And then hopped off together
When they could eat no more
He gently held her by the paw
As along the lane they strolled
And Bertie knew without a doubt
That together they’d grow old
He’d fallen for young Bessie
His heart was filled with pride
As he got down on one paw
And asked her to be his bride
She said she’d be delighted
It made him want to sing
As he pulled out of his pocket
A twenty four carrot ring
They sat so close together
Then watched the sun go down
The happiest pair of bunnies
In all of Bunny Rabbit Town
