Bertie’s in real trouble
And poor Bessie is irate
He’s started going out at night
And getting home real late
She didn’t mind him going
With his mates down to the pub
But she really was unhappy
When he went to the Bunny Club
All those doe-eyed bunnies
With fluffy tails and teeth
With skimpy little outfits
And little underneath
So Bertie has been grounded
And Bessie’s trying to do her best
To entertain him every night
In her fluffy bunny vest
Now Bertie’s very happy
Though he didn’t like to say
That he didn’t like the Bunny Club
In any single way
He only went to show the lads
That he really wasn’t a prude
But now he can’t tell Bessie
For that would be quite rude
So he’s staying in the dog house
For the dog house suits him fine
Bessie hops in right beside him
Each evening just after nine
As they cuddle up together
It’s a joy to hear their laughter
And so Bertie and his Bessie
Will live happily ever after
