Bertie loves his children
Each and every one
He spends a lot of time with them
And shows them right from wrong
He tells them lots of stories
About bunny days gone by
And always has an answer
For every “what?” and “why?”
Bertie, Bessie and the bunnies
Go each day for a walk
And almost every evening
They sit around and talk
They eat their meals together
Around the kitchen table
They have their pals around
As often as they’re able
And when the children go to bed
Bertie and Bessie say out loud
“We love you little bunnies
You make us feel so proud”
The children laugh and giggle
Like happy bunnies do
And then they say in unison
“Mum and Dad we love you too”
