Winter in Bunnytown

Bertie woke up Sunday morning
And hopped out of his bed
He found his bedroom freezing
So he hopped back in instead
He snuggled under the duvet
And gave Bessie a big hug
Then hopped off to the kitchen
To fetch coffee in a mug
He hopped back to the bedroom
And to his great surprise
He saw lots of bunny heads
And lots of bunny eyes
The children laughed and giggled
When they saw their daddy’s face
And they said “Come on daddy
For we have saved your place”
Bertie told them all a story
As they lay there warm and snug
And Bessie smiled contented
Sipping coffee from her mug
