Bertie in Bunnyland

Bertie joined the local drama group
Because acting was in his blood
They asked him to audition
They said that he was good

They offered him a leading roll
In their latest presentation
He agreed to play White Rabbit
Without further hesitation

He was so thrilled and happy
And he didn’t bear any malice
When Bessie said that she’d been picked
To play the part of Alice

And so they both took to the stage
And rehearsals were in full swing
For Alice’s Adventures in Bunnyland
To be performed some time in Spring

Bertie learned his lines quite quickly
As he sat on the garden gate
You’d often hear him saying
“I’m late, I’m late, I’m late”

Bessie looked delightful
In her dress of blue and white
And couldn’t wait to wear it
On the stage on opening night

So if you want to see them
Please let Bertie know
So he can get you tickets
To come and see the show
